Cemetery Lot Sale Purchase Agreement
Rules and Regulations

  1. All lots shall be sold with permanent care provided by the Cemetery.
  2. All mowing, grading, planting, etc. will be done by the Cemetery Department to maintain a well-kept appearance throughout the Cemetery. Graves will not be mounded.
  3. One disappearing fresh-flower vase is permitted on each grave. Flower beds, flower rails, perennials, bushes, urns, and flower pots with artificial flowers decorations are prohibited. All decorations shall be removed by March 15 and new decorations shall not be placed prior to April 15. The Cemetery Division will place signs in the cemeteries and advertise this schedule.
  4. Enclosures of any type are prohibited and corner posts marking lot boundaries must be flush with the ground. Any fence, enclosure, hedge, tree, monument or other things which have become a disfigurement and nuisance, shall upon notice to the owner be removed. Upon failure to do so, the Superintendent shall have the power to remove same.
  5. The Superintendent or any other person under his direction, may at all times enter upon any part of the grounds for the proper keeping thereof.
  6. The Cemetery shall reserve the right to put in all foundations for markers and monuments. Foundations for memorials or the placing of memorials on the lot will not be allowed until full payment is made for the lot.
  7. In the new sections, lot owners will be governed by the following as to type, size and location of monuments and markers. The Cemetery shall have the right to refuse permission for the erection of same which detract for the uniformity and appearance of the Cemetery.

All graves are allowed one (1) flush marker 1’-0” wide by 2’-0” long except baby and cremation lots which are allowed one flush marker 0’-8” wide by 1’-0” long.

Base length to include openings for end plantings, if used.

Foundations for memorial and flush markers shall be four inch (4”) thick concrete or granite, be of the same size as the monument base or flush marker and shall be placed against the lot line.

  1. Metal flag holders, fraternal emblems, temporary name plates, metal or wire devices are prohibited. Flags shall not be placed in Cemeteries more than three (3) days before Memorial Day and shall be removed within three (3) days after Decoration Day (Fourth of July).
  2. No interment or disinterment shall be made on Sunday, unless for public health.
  3. The Cemetery shall reserve the right to restrict the use of all equipment used for interments such as tents, lowering devices, etc., not owned by the Cemetery. All interments shall be made in a concrete vault. Wooden or metal containers are not permitted.
